A message from the President Do You Think It Will Ever Rain? With all of the rain that we have had over the last several weeks, the MCMC was very fortunate to have a very dry Open Track and 30th Annual Mustang and All Ford Show on September 18-19th. Everyone in attendance kept askihg what kind of pull we had upstairs. I got a couple of calls after the event wanting to know if we were going to resechedule the event since it was rained out, and I just chuckled and said "what rain out". Oh well, we should give thanks for the fact that in nine years we have not had a rain event. Whatever it is we are doing, let's keep it up. What If You Threw A Party And Nobody Came? We had our annual picnic on Sunday September 27, 2009. We had had huge responses from people that were coming to the picnic. We had it catered and had food for 100 club family members. We had a total of 35 show up. If you figure that a lot of our members brought their families, it worked out to 14 actual family memberships in attendance. I am not com-plaining, but the club went to great expense and several of the club members worked reallly hard to make this picnic hap-pen. Please give your thanks to Sue Proctor, and Karen and Ray Moore for their efforts to make this event happen. Elections: If you have ever thought of serving the MCMC, now is your chance. Lines are forming and I hope we have enough lines on the ballot to hold all of the names. (JUST KIDDING). Seriously, the MCMC needs you. Get with Ray Moore or Ray Mailloux at the next meeting and submit your name. Thanking you in advance. My family and I are out of the Country and will not be at the meeting. Ken Peters will preside over the meeting. See you in November. Jim Chism |
